3rd TIPPI Workshop

User participation in Authentication - Trust and Fear

Speaker: Louie Gasparini, RSA Security

Title: User participation in Authentication - Trust and Fear

Abstract:
This session will explore authentication solutions that involve the user in the authentication process.  What are the benefits of these types of approaches?  What are the downsides?  Is educating the user on security issues a good or bad thing to do?  What does it mean to establish "trust" in the on-line?  What are the impacts of using fear as a means to push new security?  Is the on-line world better or worse protected today?
