CS 355 Course Overview
(Fall 2007)
Description
Course topics change every year. Topics this year include
pseudorandomness, secure function evaluation, privacy,
broadcast encryption, and tracing traitors.
The course is intended for graduate students interested in cryptography
research.
Prerequisites
The course assumes basic knowledge of cryptography as may be obtained from an
introductory class on the topic. Alternatively, students may use any basic book
on cryptography to make up the material. For example, "Cryptography, theory and
practice" by D. Stinson.
Textbook Information
There are no textbooks available for the course. However, the following two
documents will be helpful:
and research papers handed out in class.
Homework Assignments
There will be three homework assignments.
You may collaborate when solving the assignments, however when writing up
the solutions you should do so on your own.
Exams
No exams.
Grading
Final grades will be determined based on homework assignments
and participation in class.
