CS 355 Course Overview
The course is a seminar on topics in cryptography. Course topics this year
include pseudorandomness, security notions for both encryption and signatures,
random oracle analysis, and distributed computations.
The course is intended for graduate students interested in cryptography
The course assumes basic knowledge of cryptography as may be obtained from an
introductory class on the topic.
There are no textbooks available for the course. However, the following two
documents will be helpful:
and research papers handed out in class.
There will be three homework assignments.
You may collaborate when solving the assignments, however when writing up
the solutions you should do so on your own.
Final grades will be determined based on homework assignments
and participation in class.
