Security Issues in Internet Distributed Computing

Distributed computing projects like SETI@home, which involve computation and data storage on untrusted machines, raise a number of security-related issues. I will describe the security measures used by SETI@home, and will discuss the additional complexities when a distributed computing platform is used by untrusting customers.
