Brian LaMacchia is the Development Lead for Common Language Runtime Security at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, WA. Before joining the .NET Framework group in April 1997 Brian was the Windows 2000 Program Manager for core cryptography, including CryptoAPI, X.509v3/PKIX support and Microsoft's SSL/TLS implementation. Prior to joining Microsoft Brian was a member of the Public Policy Research Group at AT&T Labs-Research in Florham Park, NJ. He received S.B., S.M. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Enginnering and Computer Science from MIT in 1990, 1991 and 1996, respectively.
