Software Protection against Fault Attacks

Marc Joye

Abstract:

There is no need to make use of strong cryptographic techniques if they are poorly implemented. This talk surveys various countermeasures developed so far to protect against fault attacks. It also presents new countermeasures. The focus will be put on public-key primitives by exploiting the rich underlying mathematical structure to come with efficient solutions. Finally, the talk will list some open problems.
